WOMEN'S SAFETY IS A SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

The protection of women should become the responsibility of the society. It should train children as a way of life. Let us begin to create a new generation that respects women and recognizes her personality.

Another Women's Day has passed. There is no end to violence against women. It is as old as time itself. There is no time or place for the mental and physical torment they suffer. Violence against women is on the rise in India. The situation in culturally and educationally advanced Kerala is no different. The Constitution of India enshrines equality and freedom irrespective of gender.Indira Gandhi became the Prime Minister and Pratibha Patel became the President of India. At the state level, there were strong women rulers like Sheila Dikshit, Jayalalithaa, Mamata Banerjee, Mayawati, Uma Bharti, Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Anandi Ben Patel, Mehbooba Mufti and Rabri Devi.

But there has not been much change in the attitude of women that men should still be considered inferior. The Dowry Prohibition Act of 1961 and the National Commission for Women Act of 1990 to ensure the safety of women. In 2005, the Domestic Violence Prevention Act came into force in the country.

At the same time, a number of women's organizations are organizing seminars, discussion classes and awareness programs across the country. But none of this is enough for a woman's safety. According to the National Crime Records Bureau, women in India are treated once every two minutes and 26 times an hour.Violence against.

In Kerala, which has a high social status, children from two years of age to ninety years of age are subjected to sexual harassment.

Women are constantly attacked in schools, colleges, workplaces, public places and trains. The sights seen in Kerala in recent days prove that even the top women in the society are not safe. Violence against women is rampant in all walks of life. But because so many people are reluctant to say it out loud, such people have the courage to do it again and again.

The number of unmarried mothers in tribal areas is increasing year by year.Neither the government nor women's organizations can effectively intervene in this matter. Such issues are also from a political point of view Even seen by women’s organizations.

In Kerala, after the implementation of 50% reservation in local bodies, the number of women entering the public sector is very high. Local Self Government Institution led by women

There are amazing development activities going on in India. The need of the hour is to increase the representation of women in the legislature as well. As more women enter the governing body, they will be able to make a positive impact on women's issues. The protection of women should become the responsibility of the society. It should train children as a way of life. Respect the woman Let us begin to create a new generation that recognizes her personality.
